Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is a professional tennis player from Greece who has bagged seven ATP singles titles, including the 2019 ATP Finals. His current ATP singles ranking is world No. 4 as of June 2021. Stefanos achieved his career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 04 in June 2021, which made him the highest-ranked Greek tennis player in the history of the sport. He is also the youngest player to be ranked in the top 10 ATP rankings. 

Here are some of his career major achievements

• As a Junior, Tsitsipas was ranked No. 1 in the world. 
• Tsitsipas bagged the Junior Grand Slam title in 2016 Wimbledon boys’ doubles event and became the 3rd Greek player, and 1st Greek male in the Open Era to do so.
• Notched up his first ATP match victory in 2017 and quickly rose through the ATP rankings in the following year.
• In 2018, he entered into three tour-level finals and earned his maiden title at Stockholm Open.
• Tsitsipas became the youngest tennis player to beat four top 10 opponents in a single tournament at 2018 Canadian Open. However, he finished the tournament as a runner-up.
• Conquered the title of Next Gen ATP Finals in 2018 and reached to the top 10 ATP singles rankings.
• Named the Most Improved Player in 2018.
• Tsitsipas entered into the finals of 2019 Australian Open but defeated by Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. It was his best career Grand Slam result as he defeated Roger Federer in four sets in the fourth round during his course to the semifinals.
• Reached into the 2020 French Open semifinals, but lost to Novak Djokovic in an epic five-set game.
• Became the youngest champion of the year-end championships at the 2019 ATP Finals.
• Entitled as the Best Male Athlete of 2019.
• Bagged his first Masters 1000 event at the 2021 Monte-Carlo Masters.
• Tsitsipas reached his maiden Grand Slam final at the 2021 French Open, being the first Greek player to do so, however, he lost to Novak Djokovic.
