Sir Alexander Chapman 'Alex' Ferguson

Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson (Alex), born on 31st December 1941 in Glasgow, Scotland. He is a skilled former footballer, the top goal scorer of his time. And one of the most successful managers in the history of England who led the club Manchester United to win thirteen premier leagues, two UEFA Champions Leagues, and five FA Cups.

His Achievements:-

• Sir Alexander was honoured as the "Officer of the Order of the British Empire" in the New Year Honours 1985 list, announced on 31st December 1984.
• He is Entitled as the Manager of the decade by LMA (League Managers Association) for the 1990s.
• Commander of the British Empire in 1995 New Year Honours list, announced on 31st December 1994.
• "Tribute Award" by FWA in 1996
• Bestowed the title of "Onze d'Or Coach of the Year" three times: in 1999, 2007 and 2008
• UEFA Manager of the Year for the season 1998-99
• Honoured with "Mussabini Medal" sports award for coaches in 1999
• He got revered with the "Freedom of the City of Glasgow" and "Freedom of the City of Aberdeen" in 1999. That year, Alex was also honoured as the "Knight Bachelor".
• He was named the "LMA Manager of the Year" five times for seasons 1922-93, 1998-99, 2007-08, 2010-11 and 2012-2013.
