Shanthakumaran Sreesanth

Shanthakumaran Sreesanth was born on 6th February 1983 in Kothamangalam, Kerala, S. Sreesanth, the cricketer from India, made a mark with his speedy bowling and lively celebrations. Growing up in Kerala, he began playing cricket on local pitches, showcasing his natural talent. In 2005, Sreesanth rose to prominence, playing a crucial role in India's Test series win in 2007. Known for his enthusiasm, he faced challenges, including a temporary suspension from the game. Beyond cricket, Sreesanth explored entertainment, participating in reality shows. • Known as the first Kerala Ranji player to have played Twenty-20 cricket for India.
• Picked five wickets in the second International Test match against Sri Lanka of the Home Series that took place in Kanpur in the year 2009 and was awarded the Man of the Match.
• Dismissed Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden in the Semi-final against Australia in the World Twenty20 Championship in 2007 that took place in Durban, turning the match in favor of India.
