Rupesh Kumar Kallyad Thazhathe Veetil

Born on 31 August 1979, Rupesh Kumar Kallyad Thazhathe Veetil is an international badminton player from India who played in men's doubles and mixed doubles team. Rupesh has represented India in various national and international badminton tournaments including the South Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. With nine successive national titles, Rupesh is one of India's finest-ever doubles player.

• In the BWF International Challenge/Series tournaments, Rupesh won nine gold medals with his men's doubles partner Sanave Thomas at 2004 Syed Modi International & Le Volant d'Or de Toulouse, 2005 & 2006 India Satellite, 2008 Croatian International, 2010 & 2012 Bahrain International, 2012 Austrian International and 2013 Bahrain International Challenge
• Bagged two gold medals in men's doubles & men's team events at 2004 South Asian Games
• Secured a bronze medal in the mixed team event at 2006 Commonwealth Games
• Earned two gold medals in men's doubles & men's team events at 2006 South Asian Games
• Partnered with Aparna Balan in the mixed doubles event, he won a silver medal at 2007 India International
• In the BWF Grand Prix tournaments, Rupesh bagged two gold medals with his men's doubles partner Sanave Thomas at 2009 New Zealand Open and 2009 Bitburger Open
• Along with his doubles partner Sanave Thomas, he earned a silver medal at 2009 India Open Grand Prix Gold
• Clinched a silver medal in the mixed team event at 2010 Commonwealth Games
• At the 2010 South Asian Games, Rupesh won two gold medals in men's doubles & men's team events
