Revanna Umadevi Nagaraj

Born on 11th February 1965, Revanna Umadevi Nagaraj is a billiards player from Bengaluru, India; who has bagged the title of World Billiards Champion in 2012. Umadevi started practising billiards at the Karnataka State Billiards Association and soon dominated the national as well as international stages.

Here are some of her career achievements:-

• Ranked No. 1 in National Billiards Championships of 2002, 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2018.
• Ranked 2nd in National Snooker Championship of 2002, 2003, 2004
• Was the semi-finalist in the National Ladies Snooker Championship of 2007.
• Honoured with the Ekalavya Award by the Government of Karnataka in 2009.
• Became the World Billiards Champion and 8 Ball Pool National Champion in 2012.
• Received the “Nari Shakti Puraskar” from the President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, being amongst the list of 30 great women of 2017 in India.
