Nolan Ryan, born on January 31, 1947, in Refugio, Texas, is a famous baseball player. He played for a really long time, 27 seasons from 1966 to 1993, and was part of teams like the New York Mets, California Angels, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers. What makes Ryan stand out is his amazing record of 5,714 career strikeouts, the highest in MLB history. He was so good at throwing fastballs that he's considered one of the greatest pitchers ever.
