Michael Schumacher

Born on 3rd January 1969, in Hürth, North Rhine-Westphalia, Michael Schumacher is a well-known German racing driver who has won Formula-1 racing championship seven times in his active career. Much-publicized for his speed, fastest laps and pole positions, Michael has numerous winning records most of which he still holds. An idealistic racer who has secured a position within the top three of each race he has participated and ruled the track with the most number of consecutive finishes.

• Formula König- Won 9 races out of 10 with 192 points (1988)
• German Formula Three Championship- secured the third position in 1989 and first position in 1990
• Formula One Championship- 7 times winner; 1994,1995 and consecutive wins from 2000 to 2004
• Named amongst the UNESCO Champions for Sport in 2002
• Received the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award in 2002 and 2004 for his astounding performance in the Formula One Championship of 2001 and 2003
• FIA (International Automobile Federation) Gold Medal- For his sincere efforts in motorsports for the year 2006
• Légion d'honneur- The honorary title presented by the French Prime Minister François Fillon in 2010
• Millennium Trophy- Presented at the BAMBI Awards for his prolific performance in motorsports
• He holds the record of Fastest Laps (10) taken in the Formula One season 2004
• Michael owns a record of winning 91 Formula One Grand Prix
