Martina Navratilova

Martina Navratilova from Czechoslovakia, was born on 18th October, 1956. She is a retired tennis player and coach. She is the only player in Tennis history to have held the World No.1 rank in both Singles and Doubles for over 200 weeks.

Martina Navratilova's Achievements:-

• Elected as the "WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) Player of the Year" seven times in 1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986
• Won the title of "ITF (International Tennis Federation) World Champion" six times in the years 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986
• Conferred with the "Czech Sports Legend Award" in the year 2006
• Selected as one of the "30 Legends of Women's Tennis: The Past, Present, and Future" by 'Time' magazine in the year 2011
• Tennis Magazine honored her as the Greatest Tennis player through the years 1965 – 2005.
