Born on 30th September 1986, Martin Guptill is a New Zealand cricketer who plays as an opener in ODIs and T20I formats for New Zealand. Guptill made his ODI debut for New Zealand in 2009 against the West Indies and became the first New Zealand batsman to score a century on his ODI debut.
Guptill’s Test debut also came in the year of 2009 against India. Martin is the first New Zealand batsman and the fifth overall to score a double ton in an ODI match, and also he currently holds the record for the highest individual score in ICC Cricket World Cup match which he scored against West Indies in 2015 by scoring 237* runs. This is also the second-highest score in ODIs.
