Manasi Joshi

Born on 11 June 1989, Manasi Girishchandra Joshi is an Indian Para badminton player who is counted amongst the top-notch SL-3 category Para-badminton players of the world. Manasi has been playing badminton since she was six-years-old. In 2011, she met a deadly car accident in which she lost her left leg. 

Major Achievements:-

• Earned a silver medal in the mixed doubles event of the Para-Badminton World Championship of 2015.
• Earned bronze medals in women's singles as well as doubles events at the Para-Badminton Asian Championship of 2016.
• Secured the third position in the women's singles event of the Para-Badminton World Championship of 2017.
• Added another bronze medal to her tally with her performance at the Thailand Para-Badminton International in 2018.
• Clinched a bronze medal in women's singles category at 2018 Asian Para Games.
• Bagged a gold medal in women's singles category at 2019 Para-Badminton World Championship, held in Switzerland.
