Kristina Šmigun-Vähi

Kristina Šmigun-Vähi is a former Estonian cross-country skier. She has a remarkable journey starting from junior championships to senior. She bagged 2 gold medals and a silver medal at the Winter Olympics (2006 and 2010). The skier won 6 medals at the World Championships (1999 and 2003). During her World Cup career, she has clinched 16 individual victories. She announced her retirement in 2010.

• Two gold medals at the Winter Olympics of 2006 and a silver medal at the Winter Olympics of 2010
• Bagged six medals (one gold, three silver and two bronze) at the World Championships held in 1999 and 2003
• Won two gold and four silver medals at the Junior World Championships held in 1995, 1996 and 1997
• At the World Cups, she held the title twice one for long-distance (1999) and one for middle distance (2000)
• In her entire world cup career, she won 16 individual victories 
• Entitled as the "Estonian Sportswoman of the Year" in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2010
