Johan Cruyff

Johan Cruyff, born in the Netherlands in 25 Apr, 1947, was a football legend. He revolutionized the sport with his innovative playing style known as "Total Football." Cruyff mesmerized fans with his dribbling skills and vision on the field. He achieved great success with Ajax and Barcelona, winning numerous titles. As a coach, he continued to influence the game, instilling his philosophy in teams worldwide. Off the field, he was a humanitarian, founding the Cruyff Foundation to support children through sports. Cruyff's legacy transcends football, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and inspiring generations of players and fans globally.

His Achievements:-

• Honored with the Ballon d’Or three times, in 1971, 1973 and 1974
• Won the 1972 Intercontinental Cup competition, held at the Olympic Stadium, Amsterdam
• Led the Netherlands national football team to the 1974 FIFA World Cup and received the Golden Ball as Player of the Tournament
• Received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his astounding contribution to football by Laureus in the annual World Sports Awards, on 22 May 2006
• Presented the FIFA Order of Merit (the highest honour awarded by FIFA) for his significant contribution to football in 2010
