Born on 21 July 1990, Jason Roy is an English cricketer of South African descent who plays in all formats for England, and also for Surrey County Cricket Club in domestic cricket. He was a part of the England Champions team that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup trophy and he was the one who delivered the perfect throw to effect Martin Guptill's run-out in the Super-over against New Zealand at the 2019 World Cup final to help England clinch the trophy. He is currently ranked 11th in ODI batting, and 13th in the T20I batting rankings according to the February 2020 ICC Player Rankings.
