James Ager Worthy

James Ager Worthy was born on 27th February 1961. He is a retired professional basketball player from America. At present, he is employed as the assistant coach of team Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Bagged a gold medal playing for the national team in 1979 at the FIBA U-19 World Championship, held in Salvador
• Became the NCAA Champion in 1982, held in New Orleans, Louisiana
• Included in the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors, in 1982
• Proved instrumental to the team in winning the 1985, 1987 and 1988 NBA World Championship Series, held in the United States
• Won the Bill Russell’s NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award in the year 1988
• His name was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006
