Imran Khan

Born on 5th October 1952 in Lahore, Punjab, Imran Khan Niazi is a former Pakistani cricketer and captain who has successfully played many international cricket tournaments for two decades in the late 20th century.

Achievements:-

• Imran Khan has been conferred with the title “All-rounder’s Triple” in Test Matches. He is amongst those eight world cricketers who have been given this title.
• In the year 2010, he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
• He led the national team of Pakistan to win the World Cup of 1992.
• In 1988, Pakistan’s first series win against England happened under his leadership.
• In 1987, Imran successfully led the team of Pakistan to its first ever Test series victory in India.
• Under his captaincy, Pakistan won for the first time on English soil in a Test match held in 1983 at Lord's stadium. The same year, he was honored with the "Wisden Cricketers of the Year" award and "Pride of Performance" award given by the Government of Pakistan.
