Gianluca Pagliuca was born on 18th December 1966 in Bologna. He is an Italian football coach and former professional goalkeeper. Pundits regard him as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation.
His Achievements:-
- The fifth highest capped player (592 caps), and the best penalty stopper (24 saves) in Serie A.
- Part of the Italy’s National Team when Italy occupied the third place in the 1990 World Cup Football in Italy
- Italy’s starting goalkeeper when they came as the runners-up in the 1994 World Cup, held in California
- Represented Italy at three FIFA World Cups in the years 1990, 1994, and 1998.
