Garry Kimovich Kasparov

Garry Kasparov, born on April 13, 1963, is a Russian chess grandmaster widely regarded as one of the greatest chess players of all time. Growing up in the Soviet Union, Kasparov showed exceptional talent in chess from a young age. He became the youngest ever World Chess Champion in 1985, captivating the world with his strategic brilliance and innovative playing style. Kasparov dominated the chess world for over two decades before retiring from professional play in 2005. Beyond chess, he is known for his political activism and advocacy for human rights. His Achievements:-

• Attained International fame as the youngest world chess champion in history in 1985 being 22 years old at the time
• Kasparov held the highest “Elo rating” in the world between 1986 and 2005
• Also achieved the highest FIDE rating ever in 1990, passing 2800 and broke Bobby Fischer's record
• Kasparov participated in Eight Chess Olympiads altogether and secured team gold medals in every one of them.
• "The Grandmaster" made his international team debut at the age of 16 and won five medals in 1980 and 1992
