Garbiñe Muguruza is a Spanish-Venezuelan professional tennis player who has won eight singles titles, including two Grand Slams - the 2016 French Open and the 2017 Wimbledon Championships. She is currently ranked World No. 13 in singles by the Women's Tennis Association and has been remained in the top 10 since late 2016. Muguruza reached her career-high top ranking of world No. 1 in 2017 and became the 24th woman to achieve the top ranking.

Here are some of her career major achievements:

  • Won 7 ITF Circuit singles finals, including the 2009 ITF Vinaròs, 2010 ITF Mallorca, 2011 ITF Torrent, 2011 ITF Montemor-o-Novo, 2011 ITF Cáceres, 2011 ITF Benicarló and 2012 ITF Clearwater
  • Claimed her first WTA singles title in 2014, defeated Klára Koukalová in the final of the Hobart International
  • Clinched 5 WTA doubles finals, four with Carla Suárez Navarro, including 2014 Morocco Open, 2014 Stanford Classic, 2015 Birmingham Classic and 2015 Pan Pacific Open
  • Bagged three WTA 1000 finals, including the 2015 China Open, 2017 Cincinnati Open and 2021 Dubai Championships
