Elena Rybakina

Born in Russia, Elena Rybakina is a professional tennis player of Kazakhstan who has won two singles on the WTA Tour, as well as four singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. She is currently ranked World No. 22 in singles (as of May 2021) by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Rybakina reached her career-high singles top ranking of world No. 17 on 24 February 2020. She plays mostly off the baseline and has the good movement for her height. 

Here are some of her career major achievements

• Rybakina ranked 3rd in the junior ranking and only at the age of 17 began to achieve significant results relatively late in her junior career.
• Entered into two junior Grand Slam semifinals, and bagged a Grade A title at the 2017 Trofeo Bonfiglio.
• With Ekaterina Kazionova, Rybakina has won her first ITF doubles title at 2017 ITF Istanbul, the same year, Rybakina bagged her 2nd ITF doubles title with  Amina Anshba at the ITF Antalya.
• Rybakina changed her federation from Russia to Kazakhstan in June 2018, entering the top 200 for the first time a month earlier.
• Reached seven WTA finals, in which she won two titles, including the 2019 Bucharest Open and 2020 Hobart International.
• Rybakina's first consistent success on the WTA Tour came in mid-2019 and was marked by her first WTA title at the Bucharest Open as well as her top 100 debut.
• Rybakina made a breakthrough in the 2020 season, during which she led the tour to the finals five times, four of which were her top events of the year.
