Dennis Lillee

Born on July 18, 1949, in Subiaco, Dennis Keith Lille is a well-known Australian cricketer with fast bowling spins and never giving attitude. He retired from international cricket in 1984 with total wicket tally of 355, the record for most wickets held at that time.

A glimpse of his achievements:-

• In 1973, Dennis was selected as one of the "Wisden Cricketers of the Year".
• Dennis was delegated as a "Member of the Order of the British Empire" (MBE) in 1981.
• The Australian cricket board selected him in the official Australian Test team of the century in 2000. Besides this, he was also honored with the Australian Sports Medal, the same year.
• His name was enlisted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2009.
• Dennis was honored as the "Member of the Order of Australia" in 2010.
