David Campese

David Ian Campese was born on the 21st October 1962. He is a former Rugby Union player from Australia who has contributed his best to the team in winning various international matches as well as earning numerous accolades.

His Achievements:-

• David received the most prestigious “Player of the Tournament” award in the Rugby World Cup 1991, held in England, Paris, Cardiff, Toulouse and many other cities.
• His name was inducted into the Sports Australia Hall of Fame in the year 1997.
• Received the Australian Sports Medal in the year 2000
• Also, received the honorary Centenary Medal from the Australian Government in 2001
• Inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame in 2002
• Honored with the Centurian Award at the Houses of Parliament, London in the year 2002, for having played more than 100 Rugby tests in the history of Rugby
• He received the ‘Legends’ Oscar in 2008 for being voted as the best winger in the history of the game
• Became the prestigious member of IRB (International Rugby Board) Hall of Fame in the year 2013
