Curtly Ambrose

Born on 21st September 1963, Sir Curtly Elconn Lynwall Ambrose is one the most skillful pace bowlers from West Indies. Known for his accuracy in pace bowling, Curtly Ambrose has achieved numerous accolades during his active career.

Here are some of his greatest achievements:-

• Curtly was selected as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1992.
• He is one of those two West Indian cricketers who took more than 400 Test Wickets.
• Curtly Ambrose has the best career average of 20.99 which is 3rd highest average by a West Indian.
• He jointly holds the record of most five-wicket hauls (22) with Malcolm Marshall and Courtney Walsh.
