C. A. Bhavani Devi

Born on 27th August 1993, Chadalavada Anandha Sundhararaman Bhavani Devi is an Indian Sabre fencer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Bhavani started fencing at the age of 10 and soon became the pin-up girl in her state with her exceptional fencing skills.

Achievements:-

• Bagged India's first gold medal at the Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championship 2018, held in Australia. The same year, she won a silver medal at the Tournoi Satellite Fencing Championship.
• Earned a bronze medal at the Asian Championship of 2015, held in Mongolia.
• Bagged a silver medal at the Asian Championship of 2014, held in the Philippines.
• Won a bronze medal in the individual event and a silver medal in the team event at the Commonwealth Championship of 2012, held in Jersey.
• Earned bronze medals in Sabre Team event at the Asian Fencing Championship of 2010 as well as the Commonwealth Championship of 2009.
• She became the first fencer to win medal at the Asian Fencing Championships.
