Fondly known as The King and lived between 10 September 1929 and 25 September 2016, Arnold Daniel Palmer was a professional golfer from the United States. Deemed as one of the greatest and most famous golfers in the history of the sport, he was the first star of the golf's television age, beginning in the 1950s. His fate changed after his win in the 1954 U.S. Amateur Championship after which he turned professional (November 18, 1954).
The golden period of his career was between 1960 and 1963 when he bagged 29 titles and collected approximately $400,000, which is massive compared to today's era.
In the career spanning from 1955 till 2011, he has amassed 92 victories in which 62 came from the U.S. PGA Tour, 18 from the International tournaments and 12 from the Senior tournaments.
