Adam Craig Gilchrist was born on 14th November 1971. He is a former cricketer from Australia who has captained the national team at several international matches.

Some of his achievements:-

  • In the year 2002, Adam was named as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year.
  • Bestowed with the Allan Border medal in 2003.
  • Selected Australia’s One-Day International Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004.
  • In the year 2007, he was voted as the 9th greatest all-rounder of the last 100 years by ESPN cricinfo.
  • Appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in the year 2010.
  • Inducted into the Sports Australia Hall of Fame in 2012 and the ICC Hall of Fame in 2013.
