Irfan Khan Pathan

Irfan Khan Pathan, a cricketer from India, was born on 27th October 1984. Known for his fast swings and seam bowling technique; Pathan predominantly played Test matches for team India. He is a younger half-brother of eminent player Yusuf Pathan. 

His Achievements:-

• Named by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the “Emerging Player of the Year” in 2004.
• Instrumental in India’s victory against Pakistan in ODI and Test Series, held in Pakistan, in the year 2004.
• The first bowler to take an International Test hat-trick in the first over of the game, against Pakistan in 2006 which was held in Lahore
• He made a dynamic return in the year 2007; helping team India to win over Pakistan in the ICC Twenty-20 World Cup, held in Johannesburg and was honored as the “Man of the Match”.
• Irfan holds the World Record for the quickest 1000 runs in a One Day International (ODI) career.
• Holds the World record for 100 wickets in an ODI career.
