Earl Lloyd

Earl Francis Lloyd was born on 3rd April 1928. He was a professional basketball player from America, the first black player in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

His Achievements:-

• Won the Player of the Decade award for the 1940s which was presented to him by the CIAA.
• Helped his team become the NBA Champions in the year 1955.
• Earl's name was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 1993, CIAA Hall of Fame in 1998 and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor in 2003.
• Was featured in the Library of Virginia's "Strong Men & Women in Virginia History" in the year 2015.
