Anup Kumar Yama

Anup Kumar Yama was born on 1st September 1984. He is a roller skater from India who has created a record earning most number of medals by an artistic skater in Asia.

His Major Achievements:-

• Won a gold medal at the 1989 All India National Competition in Freestyle Artistic Skating, held in Bangalore.
• Won 2 gold medals at the 1991 National Championship in Freestyle and Pair Artistic Skating, held in Punjab.
• Won three gold medals at the 2006 National Championships for freestyle, figure and Pair Artistic Skating, held in Vishakhapatnam.
• Won six gold medals at the 2010 National Championship for Freestyle, Figure, Pair, Combined, Solo Dance and Inline Artistic Skating, held in Vishakhapatnam.
• Earned two bronze medals each in pair skating (with Avani Panchal) and in freestyle skating at the Asian Games of 2010, held in Guangzhou.
• Bagged one bronze medal at the 2012 Inline Artistic Roller Skating World Championship, held in New Zealand.
