Wasim Akram, born on 3rd June 1966, is a former Pakistani Cricketer. He is acknowledged as the greatest bowler of his time. Currently, he is a famous television personality, a cricket commentator, and the brand ambassador of Pakistani Super League, 2016.
His career accomplishments:-
A left arm fast bowler who could bowl with significant pace, and is regarded as the finest player of reverse swing bowling.
In 1993, he was awarded "Wisden Cricketer of the Year".
Wasim Akram became the first bowler in ODI cricket to reach 500 wicket marks, and this record was made in the 2003 World Cup.
He was honored with the “Man of the Match” award 17 times in a test cricket, being the third highest player to have achieved the honor.
The only player who has made four Hat-tricks: Two hat-tricks in One Day Internationals (against West Indies in Sharjah, 1989 and against Australia in Sharjah, 1990) and Two Hat-tricks in International Test matches (against Sri Lanka in Lahore, 1999 and against Sri Lanka in Dhaka, 1999)
He was the first bowler after Muttiah Muralitharan to take more than 400 wickets in both One Day International and Test Cricket matches.
He has been honored as the "Man of the Match" 22 times in One Day International Matches.
In 2003, he was honored with the ‘Lux Stylish Award’ for being the most stylish sportsperson.
