Built in the era of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II, this beautiful stadium is located at one end of the Rambagh Circle. The stadium underwent a major renovation with an investment of Rs. 400 crore in the year 2006. According to the report of 19 August 2017, the stadium has hosted 1 Test and 19 ODI matches. The stadium has two ends named as the Van Vihar Colony End and Garh Ganesh Temple End.

Significance
Sawai Mansingh stadium has a world-class cricket academy with the facilities of a swimming pool, a gym, a restaurant and two conference halls.
The stadium witnessed its first ODI match of India vs Pakistan in 1983, won by India by four wickets.
The same year, the stadium was chosen as a venue for the Women's Asia Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.
The ground has witnessed the cricket world cup matches of the year 1987 and 1996. In the year 1987, it has hosted a solitary Test match between India and Pakitan which was witnessed by Pakistan President General Zia-ul-Haq. The match was a part of his "Cricket for Peace" initiative, and both the team proved to be instrumental for that.
In the year 2005, the stadium witnessed its highest individual score by any batsman in ODI when Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 183 not out.
