Věra Čáslavská was born on 3rd May 1942. She was an artistic gymnast from Czechoslovakia. She was also a Czech sports official.

- Earned a gold in All-around at the World Championships held at Dortmund in the year 1966
- Won 3 gold medals for the Vault, Uneven Bars, and Floor exercise at the 1968 Summer Olympic Games held in Mexico City
- Won 2 silver for the Team and the Balance beam at the 1968 Summer Olympic Games held in Mexico City
