Born on 19th January 1979, Svetlana Khorkina is a former artistic gymnast from Russia. She is the first gymnast to win three all-around titles at the World Championships.
Her accomplishments so far:-
- Won silver at the FIG World Cup final (1998) for performing on Uneven Bars
- Won gold medal at Olympic games of 1996 and 2000 held in Atlanta and Sydney respectively
- Khorkina has won 20 medals at the World Championships held in between 1995-2003 which includes 9 Gold medals
- Won 20 medals at the European Championships held in between 1994-2004 which includes 13 Gold medals
- Two gold medals at the European Team championships of 1999 and 2003 held in Patras and Moscow respectively.
