Steve Waugh is a former cricketer who is regarded as one of the most prominent right-handed batsmen and medium pace bowlers of Australian cricket team. He was born on 2nd June 1965, in Sydney, Australia.
The most capped Test cricket player in the history, from 1999 to 2004, he captained the Australian Test cricket team.
The Australian team has won 41 matches out of 57 in Test and 67 matches out of 106 in ODI under his leadership.
Won the “Australian of the Year” award in 2004 and has also been included in the "Australian Living Treasures" for his commendable contribution to the Australian society
Made an Australian record partnership in the 1996Cricket World Cup, Waugh scored 82 and featured in a 207-run partnership against Kenya with his brother Mark Waugh.
