Sergio Pérez

Sergio Pérez is a Mexican professional Formula One driver who currently competing under the Mexican flag with the Red Bull Racing team. Nicknamed 'Checo', Sergio has won 2 races and has 12 podiums finishes and completed the fastest lap thirteen times so far. Pérez is on the third spot in the current 2021 Formula One Standings. Prior to the 2021 season with Red Bull Racing, Sergio Pérez drove for Sauber, McLaren, Force India and Racing Point. He won his first Formula One Grand Prix at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, breaking the record for most starts before winning a race at 190.

Here are some of his career major achievements

• Became the third-youngest driver to take part in the A1 Grand Prix, as Pérez took part in a single round of the championship for A1 Team Mexico at the 2006–07 A1 Grand Prix season.
• Bagged his first GP2 Asia Series race at Sakhir in the 2008-09 season, winning from lights-to-flag in the sprint race having started from pole position.
• Pérez became a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy scheme in October 2010.
• Pérez also became the 5th Mexican to compete in Formula One, and the 1st since Héctor Rebaque competed between 1977 and 1981.
• Made his Formula One debut in 2011 after joining the Sauber team and took his first Formula One podium at the 2012 Malaysian Grand Prix with Sauber. 
• Referred to as 'The Mexican Wunderkind' for his young age and performance.
• Pérez bagged the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix with the Red Bull Racing team and earned the 2nd Formula 1 Grand Prix victory of his career.
