Michael Anthony Holding was born on 16th February 1954. He is a former cricketer from West Indies.

- Entitled as “Wisden cricketer of the Year” award in 1977
- He holds the credit of bowling "the greatest over in Test history" to English batsman Geoff Boycott in 1981, match against England which was held in Bridgetown
- Inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, in the year 2009
- Received the Life Time Achievement Award at the University of East London, in the year 2013
