Born on 3rd July 1996 in Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh; Jyothi Surekha Vennam is a new face in the Indian archery. She has bagged numerous national as well as international medals in various events.

Set a Limca Book Record at the age of 4 by crossing the Krishna River three times, covering a distance of 5 km in 3:20:06
Won an Olympic round gold medal at the Mexican Grand Prix in 2009
Won two bronze medals at the World Youth Archery Championships of 2013 in Compound Jr. women team and compound Jr. mixed team events
In 2017, she was bestowed with the Arjuna Award by the Government of India for her astounding performance in archery.
Clinched a silver medal in 2017 and two bronze medals in 2019 World Archery Championships in Compound team and Compound individual events
Bagged two bronze, three silver and three gold medals at the Asian Archery Championships in between 2011 and 2019 in various events.
