Born on 13th October 1982, Ian James Thorpe is an Australian Swimmer, specialized in freestyle stroke. He was one of the top swimmers of the Sydney Olympics. His Achievements:-
Earned three gold and two silver medals at the Olympic Games of 2000, held in Sydney. The same year, he was entitled as the "Young Australian of the Year".
Clinched two gold, silver and a bronze medal at the Olympic Games of 2004, held in Athens
Earned 11 Gold medals through his astounding performance at the World Championships, held in between 1998-2003
Honored with "Human Rights Medal" in the year 2012
