Born on 26th March 1986, in Bloemendaal, Ellen Martijn Hoog is a field hockey player who is a member of Amsterdamsche Hockey & Bandy Club.
Some of her major achievements:
Gold medals at the Olympic Games of 2008 and 2012, held in Beijing and London, respectively and a silver medal in Rio Olympics that held in 2016. In 2012, She decided to play the match with a penalty shootout and took a winning shot in the semi-final against New Zealand.
Gold medal at the Women's Hockey World Cup of 2006 and 2014 and one silver medal in 2010 in the same event
Three gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the Eurohockey Nations Championship held in between 2005 and 2015
Won the Hockey Champions Trophy in 2004 and 2005
