Born on 3rd February1996 in Odisha, Dutee Chand is a professional Indian sprinter. She is the third Indian female to qualify for the Olympic Games in Women's 100m event in 2016.
2012 - Won the 100 m event at the National Championship in Athletics, held in Lucknow, participating in the Under-18 category
2013 - Bagged a bronze medal in 200 m at the Asian Championships, held in Pune, India
Became the first Indian to reach the finals of a global athletics 100 m in the finals of the 2013 World Youth Championships, held in Ukraine
2013 - Won in 100 m and 200 m categories at the National Championships in Athletics, held in Bangalore
In June 2014, she won two gold medals in the 200m and 4 × 400m relays at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships
2016 - Clinched a gold medal in women’s100mdash at the Federation Cup National Athletics Championships, held in New Delhi
At the 2016 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in 60 meters, she clocked an Indian national record of 7.28 seconds in the qualification round. She won a bronze medal in the final with a time of 7.37 seconds.
At the Rio 2016 Olympics, she became the third Indian woman to compete in the women's 100-meter race.
In 2017, she won two bronze medals, one in the women's 100 meters, another in the women's 4 × 100-meter relays at the Asian Athletics Championships.
In the women's 100-meter final, she won her first 2018 Asian Games medal, a silver, on August 26 with 11.32 seconds. Again on August 29, she earned her second silver in the Asian Games in the women's 200 meters final.
At the 2019 Summer Universiade in Napoli, she won a gold medal in the 100-meter race and became the first Indian female runner to win gold in the Universiade, where she finished the sprint in 11.32 seconds.
