Arantxa Sánchez Vicario

Arantxa Sánchez Vicario was born on 18th December 1971. She is a Spanish former World No. 1 professional tennis player.

Her Achievements:-

• Won a silver medal in doubles and one bronze in singles medal at the 1992 Olympic Games, held in Barcelona
• Won a silver medal in singles and one bronze medal in doubles at the 1996 Olympic Games, held in Atlanta
• Won four Grand Slam singles titles- French open in 1989, 1994, 1998 and U.S.Open in 1994
• Won six Grand Slam women's doubles titles- Australian open in 1992, 1995, 1996, Wimbledon in 1995 and U.S.Open in 1993 and 1994
• Won four Grand Slam mixed doubles titles- Australian open in 1993, French open in 1990, 1992 and U.S.Open in 2000
• In 1994 she was crowned as the ITF World Champion for the year
