The Value City Arena is a multi-purpose arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center, situated at the Ohio State University campus, in Columbus, Ohio, USA that came into existence in 1998. It has different seating capacity for various sports codes. Until the opening of the Nationwide Arena in the year 2000, the Value City Arena was the main venue for sports, entertainment, and music concerts, held in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. Since its inception, it has been the home for the teams of Ohio State Buckeyes men’s & women's basketball and men's ice hockey. The facility here has been named after Jerome Schottenstein, the main benefactor of this project and the founder of Schottenstein Stores Corp.

Trivia

An agreement was signed between NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets and OSU in May 2010 after which the Value City Arena and the Nationwide Arena became sister venues.

Significance

In November 2002, Value City Arena hosted the "Jeopardy! College Championship".
The Seventh Concert Tour referred as "Circus Tour" starring Britney Spears, was hosted here on April 30, 2009.
Carry Underwood’s 2010 hit "Undo it" was shot here. The music video filmed here made the arena more prominent all around the world.
The arena hosted the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship in the year 2005.
A preseason game of Basketball between Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards was hosted here in October 18, 2016.
