Wellington Regional Stadium, commercially known as Hnry Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue in Wellington, New Zealand, popularly nicknamed “The Cake Tin.”. It was developed to replace the ageing Athletic Park and provide modern facilities for cricket, rugby and other major events. Construction began on 12 March 1998 and completed by Fletcher Construction in 1999, the stadium officially opened on 3 January 2000, making it New Zealand’s first bowl-shaped stadium after approximately 21 months of work. Its first international cricket fixtures included One Day Internationals between New Zealand and the West Indies in January 2000. In addition to hosting sporting competitions, the venue has facilities for cricket training and sports development, including a cricket academy and the New Zealand Institute of Sport.
The stadium's naming rights have been held by three sponsors since it opened in 2000. Westpac initially secured the naming sponsorship, which continued until 31 December 2019 after nearly two decades. In August 2019, Sky Network Television was announced as the next naming partner under a six-year agreement that began on 1 January 2020, renaming the venue Sky Stadium. After Sky's sponsorship period ended in February 2026, New Zealand accountancy services company Hnry took over the naming rights under a five-year agreement. Effective 1 March 2026, the venue became known as Hnry Stadium.
