EverBank Stadium, located in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, is a prominent outdoor sports venue primarily used for American football. Formerly known as TIAA Bank Field, the stadium serves as the home venue of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). It also hosts college football games, including the annual rivalry matchup between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia, as well as postseason bowl games and other major sporting and entertainment events.
The stadium opened on August 18, 1995, and was the venue for Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. Owned by the City of Jacksonville, the facility was designed by HOK Sport, now known as Populous. Its playing surface has featured Tifway 419 Bermuda grass, a turf variety commonly used for sports fields.
The stadium has undergone several naming changes reflecting its corporate sponsorship agreements. From 1997 to 2006, it was known as Alltel Stadium. In 2010, it became EverBank Field following a naming-rights agreement with EverBank, which was extended in 2014. In February 2018, after EverBank was acquired by TIAA, the venue was renamed TIAA Bank Field. It subsequently became TIAA Bank Field's successor under the EverBank name when the stadium was renamed EverBank Stadium in 2023, continuing its role as one of Jacksonville's major sports and entertainment destinations.
