Eden Park is one of the largest and most famous cricket stadiums in the world, situated in Auckland and managed by the 'Auckland Cricket Association'. The stadium predominantly hosts Rugby Union games in winter and cricket events in summer. It is famous for its peculiar ground structure that makes it quite a different venue for cricket events. Eden Park has witnessed some of the most exciting matches both on the international as well as the domestic level. The stadium was used as a home-ground by the Auckland Blues in the New Zealand Super League.

Eden Park is amongst those stadiums of the world that conduct three different sports events (cricket, football, and Rugby).
It is considered as one of the oldest stadiums in the history that were constructed during 1900s. It was named "Eden Park" based on the book of Harris Ryan.

Significance

The stadium has also hosted three international football games where New Zealand team defeated.
The stadium has hosted some of the most memorable cricket matches including the Cricket World Cup final of 2014 where Grant Elliot hit the significant "six" to seal the match for New Zealand.
It is the only stadium that has hosted two rugby World Cup finals in the 1987 and 2011 edition both of which were held in a jam-packed stadium.
New Zealand Cricket team won their first ever World Cup semifinals here in 2015.
In 1981, it was bombarded by two pilots (Grant Cole and Marx Jones) in the protest of 1981 Springbok Tour due to apartheid.
