PNC Arena is an indoor arena (predominantly used for basketball events), situated in Raleigh, North Carolina, having a seating capacity for 19,722 spectators. The arena has 13 lodge boxes, 59 suites, and a restaurant. The construction work to build this beautiful arena began on 22nd July 1997. An estimated amount of $158 million was spent on the construction. The chief architecture firm that designed the structure of the arena is Odell Associates Inc. along with Geiger Engineers under the supervision of Project Manager McDevitt Street Bovis, Inc. It took two years to construct the arena which was finally opened to the spectators on 29th October 1999. It underwent multiple renovations in between 2003-2009. The Centennial Authority owns the arena and is operated by Gale Force Sports & Entertainment. It has been the home for the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) and the NC State Wolfpack (ACC) since the opening year.
