The Commerzbank-Arena is a sports stadium, situated in Frankfurt, Germany. The stadium was opened to spectators on 21st May 1925. An estimated amount of €150 million was spent on the construction of the Commerzbank-Arena. The chief architecture company that built this magnificent stadium are Gerkan, Marg & Partner and Max Bög. It underwent multiple renovations (in the years 1937, 1953, 1974 and 2005). The stadium is owned by Waldstadion Frankfurt Gesellschaft für Projektentwicklung and operated by Stadion Frankfurt Management. Initially, it was called the "Waldstadion" that means "Forest Stadium" in English. The stadium has been the home ground for Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) since 1925. It has also served as home for Frankfurt Galaxy (NFL Europe) from 1991 to 2007. The stadium has various other facilities such as a swimming pool, a beach volleyball court, a tennis complex and a winter sports hall. It also has its railway station called the Frankfurt Stadion.
