The European Cyclo-cross Championship is an international level cycling championship, held every year in November throughout Europe. This time marks the beginning of the cyclo-cross race season. The competition has various categories:

Competition Format

Cyclo-cross is a kind of bicycle racing that usually takes place between October and February.
The competition consists of multiple short laps of grass, hills, pavements, wooded trails and other such obstacles.
The rider is required to dismount, carry the bicycle around the obstacle and mount and ride again. The time span stretches over 30 minutes to 1 hour. The sport is very prevalent in Netherlands, Belgium, and France.
The bicycles are required to be durable yet lightweight so that the rider can carry it on his/her shoulders and around the obstacles with ease.
This sport focuses mainly on the rider’s endurance, stamina, bike-handling capability and skills.
