RTÉ Sports is a department of Irish Public Broadcaster company RTE (Raidió Teilifís Éireann) that conducts an annual award ceremony to honor sports personalities under the following categories:-
RTÉ Sports presents this accolade to the Irish Sportsperson who has achieved the most that year. The winner is chosen by a panel of RTÉ journalists and editorial staff but in 2016, public voting determined the winner.
This is an honor presented to the sporting team or partnership who is considered to have made the most significant contribution to sports in that year.
This award is bestowed annually to the sports manager who has given the most notable contribution to sports in that year. The winner is decided by a panel of print and broadcast journalists.
This accolade is presented by the RTÉ Sports every year for which the recipient is the one who has imprinted a considerable impact on the world of sports during his/her lifetime.
