Maharaja Ranjit Singh Award

A state-level sporting award bestowed by the Government of Punjab to sportspersons who give phenomenal performance in sports competitions of International or national levels. Instituted in 1978, the honor carries a trophy of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and cash prize. The recognition was suspended in 1996 but re-inaugurated in 2006.
