The SA Sport Awards are presented annually with the key objective of celebrating the sports excellence and rewarding sports achievements in and off the field of play. The awards are proclaimed in 2004 in partnership between South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) and a host of other stakeholders and sponsors.
The categories under which SA Awards are given are -

- Individual Sports Awards
- Steve Tshwete Life Time Achievement Awards
- Ministers Excellence Awards
